Bounce 'N' Beans

Bounce 'N' Beans is Cartersville's new indoor inflatable play center. Lily, Bear and I met our friends Katie and Katie Anne there today for lunch and playtime. Katie's husband, Saunders, is with Josh, at the Alabama/Georgia game, so we decided it be a great free day to get the kids together. Lily and Katie Anne are about a year apart, but get along so well together. We always love getting them together to play.
The center was great...there are several different stations with slides, hills/ladders to climb, and bouncy areas. It took the girls a few minutes to warm up to the idea, but once they did, they were full speed playing for over an hour. We'll definitely be back to play again soon!

Watch out Picasso

I let Lily pull out the finger paint yesterday and she made quite a masterpiece.

But I think she is wearing more than actually got on the paper!

Playground Fun

I took Lily and Bear to the neighborhood playground to play on Monday night. Lily loves to play outside and this time she really enjoyed showing her little brother what she could do. It's amazing to see how much more coordinated she is even from earlier in the summer. I know it won't be long before Bear is trying to do everything his big sister is doing!

Happy Birthday Josh!

Josh's 28thbirthday was on Monday of this week. We celebrated on Saturday night with barbecue, football games on tv, and cake. Harvey & Suzan, Joey & Jessica, and Jacob all spent the evening with us...but I'm not sure that we were the most lively bunch :)

Josh did have a cute cake and he was excited that his team won!

Happy Birthday Josh! You're a little closer to 30 :) I love you!

Sweet Little Boy

I loved this picture of Bear - I just had to post!

Take me for a ride Daddy!

What is he doing out there?

Oh - he's cutting the grass again!

I want to ride!!! Please!!!

Yay! That was fun.

Lily didn't find it so interesting - she slept right through Bear's squeals of excitement. She's sick today :(

9 Months

Bear went for his 9 month check-up this week. He turned 9 months a few weeks ago, but his appointment was scheduled a bit late. He weighed 22.6 lbs (75th percentile), was 29.5 inches tall (90th percentile).
Bear is changing more and more each day! His newest fascination is with balls. He loves to throw balls across the room and then crawl after them. He's even figured out how to lift the ball over his head to toss. I guess his obsession with sports is going to start sooner than I expected.

Bear's also becoming much more mobile. He's pulling up and has stood unassisted a few times. He loves the push toy we had when Lily was smaller and has started trying to walk behind it for short bits of time.

We've started feeding him finger foods and table food. So far, he's a big fan of cheerios and baked potato. I was a bit worried about starting him on solids other than baby food because he still doesn't have any teeth. He's done really well though with gumming his food, so we'll keep trying some new things with him.

Time is flying by - it's so hard to believe in less than 3 months, we'll be celebrating his first birthday!

Lily's Gymnastics Class

Lily is still enjoying going to her weekly gymnastics class. Josh and I take turns going to class with her and its amazing to see how much she is learning. She's gotten really good at jumping on the trampoline track, walking on the balance beam (without our help), and doing forward rolls. I'm still having a hard time getting some good pictures - the lighting isn't very good in the gym. Here are a few to give you an idea of what's she's been learning!

Josh's New Toy

Josh is just like a kid - he still loves his toys. Since we've been married, I've gotten used to his spontaneous purchases such as cars, tvs, etc.. A few weekends ago, he decided he needed a new toy, a riding lawn mower.

Here he is on his John Deere

I've always nagged him to do yard work...now I can't keep him out of the yard. I know he has cut our grass at least 3 times in the last 2 weeks. I guess I can't complain about the yard work not getting done now!
