On Saturday, one of Lily's best friends, Katie Anne, turned 2. Katie Anne's parents, Katie and Saunders, hosted a really fun party to celebrate. Their backyard was turned into a toddler's dream come true with slides, a bouncy house, and a cute playhouse. Lily and Bear had tons of fun playing with Katie Anne, Brodie, and Ella. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and everyone looked adorable in their spring clothes! We had a yummy lunch of hot dogs and all the trimmings and then snacked on birthday cake and ice cream. Katie Anne got lots of fun gifts, including a big slide for her backyard and a Power Wheels John Deer Gator. Katie Anne was a bit nervous to drive it at first, so Lily jumped in. Watch out on the road - these girls are wild! They sped around the backyard and tried to take out party guests and the playhouse!
I can't believe Katie Anne is already 2. I still remember when Katie first told us she was expecting - it doesn't seem like that long ago! Katie Anne is such a sweet girl and she amazes us with all that she can do. Even though Lily is a year older, Katie Anne plays together so well with her and you'd think they were even closer in age! We are blessed to have such great friends - and even better that our kids adore each other too!

You got some great pictures! I love the one of the three of them in the playhouse and of Katie Anne opening her slide... will you email them to me? It was such fun, and I think all the kids had a blast. This morning, I asked Katie Anne about her party to see what she remembered, and she said, "My has cake, cannels (candles), and Lily." :)
That was fun and all the kids were so well behaved and adorable! Lily is a great big sister to Bear and all the little ones. What a sweetie!
