Our Awana Christmas program was scheduled for a Wednesday in late December - but ice hit the Metro Atlanta area and it was called off at the last minute! The kids had been practicing for weeks and we wanted to give them the chance to perform on stage for the parents and grandparents, so we decided to put on an After-Christmas Christmas Program! Who says the spirit of Christmas is limited to December anyway??
I was in the program as a puppet, so my friend Katie and her sweet mom Cindy snapped these pics for me while I was playing my part as Luv E Lamb.
Bear is a Puggle this year (2 year old Awana group). They got to sing Jingle Bells with the Cubbies as the opening song! He then went and sat with the Jones family to watch the rest of the program.
I love this picture - he is concentrating hard on his jingle bell!
Lily and Katie Anne are on the far right, first row of Cubbies. They also did a great job remembering all the many songs they had learned this fall and reciting their memory verse "A Savior has been born to you"

The kids did so great - even if my kid was the one who had to pee in the middle of the show! The girls did a wonderful job singing all those songs after not practicing for almost a month! Bear was so sweet in the audience and is welcome to sit with us anytime. I love the last picture - so cute! Email it to me!
